Otter Lodge tent problems

I just purchased a otter lodge package from Scheels in December, and the seam in the tent has already ripped. Has anyone else had any problems with this happening? All the reviews that I have read have said that these are supposed to be the most durable houses on the market. What is going on?

poutpro, sometimes seams will let go no matter how good the house. I've seen the same thing happen with three different brands of house over the years. Otter stands behind its stuff, so just contact them, tell them the problem and work with them.

Call Otter they will take care of you. I havent had any issues with any of my Otters. Im on my 4th one and they have all been great. This is the 1st seem issue I have heard of in the new style Otters. Is it a Camo or Ice Blue?

They are well built and stuff can happen ,but their service is what really counts.

Otters are great houses. As said above they have great customer service. Just call them and I'm sure you will be well taken care of.

It isn't the new model. It is the dark green tent. It has been used less than 5 times this year.

The same happened to my green canvas. They returned it with a sales receipt. Although I do believe they were almost out of the green version. Very good customer service dept. to work with.

Ya I believe the green and purple are discontinued and thats why Scheels had them at such a great price. I do think your best bet is to call Scheels 1st and see if they have another green or purple one you can get from them. If its that new Scheels should take care of you. Their your best bet at having a Green or purple Canvas anyways. Scheels should be the ones talked to 1st.

I just sewed up the seams with fishing line as otter didnt make or have the village anymore didnt take long but it took abuse in winds of 40+ a few days lol
