Pistol Pete
Need a new pair of shades for this coming summer. What color lenses can you recomend. I fish water that can be clear to stained with a green-blue look to it, some alge but not to much. Just waters in central MN.
Nick Kuhn
I have amber lenses and they work in all light conditions, though I really haven't tried any other color to know if others are better. I keep them on until probably 15 minutes after sundown...
RuKiddingMe
I have Natvie Eyewear with interchangeable lens and the amber are the best for me. But if the backwater green that the Costa's have was available for my Natives I would go with that forsure. I have the natives because they are comfortable, the costa's were not.RU
dobiel
I prefer polarized amber lenses because of their overall versatility in bright and low light. Although I did just try on a pair of Maui Jims with their new Maui HT poly lenses(greenish/gray) and they have amazing contrast and seem like they would be great for overcast days or low light hours. 10,000 Casts
Amber is the darkest lense so it is the best in bright condions. My lenses are brown and they seem to work good for all around use on all water colors. I would have gone with Amber but my sunglasses are perscription and they didn't have amber as an option. TMF89
Amber is the best overall lense color. I have interchangable Natives (I'd reccomend them, they start at $100), that come with clear, yellow, amber, and gray. Obviously the amount of light filtered out is greater with each lense. I will say that with the yellow lenses it seems like it's even LIGHTER out, I've worn them until 9 at night before.
Zorba
Having purchased more than a few pairs of polarized fishing glasses, I would say that I prefer the Oakley shallow blue lens for all but the very brightest conditions. The are a little spendy, but the value is definately there imo.
VMS
Check the classifieds up above...I just posted a pair for sale. They are H-3-0 sunglasses. three sets of lenses (gray, Amber and Yellow) and all three sets of lenses are polarized. These are in Like-new condition. comes with a somewhat hard-shell case, a little bag that also works as a lens cleaner.Steve
pauljpollock
Try a pair of Costa Del Mars. I like the amber and vermilion lenses. The clarity of the lenses is awesome. They also work great in the winter for sharpening up the contour of the lake and trail. Paul.
