Mitchell sight rod

Recommended Posts

I just purchased a new sight rod from Jason Mitchell. This little sweetheart looks to be one fine rod for those days when one can catch the fish while watching them in the cleaner water.

For sight fishing, these shorter rods are a must to have. Add in the Mitchell reel and a great combo for the arsenal.

This 17-inch sight-fishing rod is short and compact for comfortably fishing over the top of the hole. This rod blank is extremely fast with careful guide placement so that anglers can effectively fight fish. This little jewel is tied using a Hyper High Modulus Blank.

I love my Elite 17 incher.. Great tool for the panfisher, as Harvey mentioned... Ice Fishing Tournament Champions, Joe Pikulski and Myron Gilbert use this rod a lot, combined with teh 20 inch spring bobber rod. Deadly sticks for these guys, who bank a lot of money on the NAIFC tourney trail, including this years NAIFC Championship.

Along that line, this year, the 24" walleye rod is a good stick to have in anyones arsenal as well. This rod is a must for a one man shelter, for running and gunning on prime walleye spots. And, this year, it definately has stood the test of some big fish for me, ranging from walleyes to shallow water trouts...

I used my new Meatstick today and boy, that baby can catch fish, from crappies to eyes to white bass, it handles them all just fine and detected every light bite.

As much as I like my spring bobber rods, there is really no need for one as this rod offers it all.

Any rod that can detect a light biter yet have the back bone to handle the larger ones is a must rod in any ice fishing arsenal.

Thanks Jason Mitchell for this awesome rod.
