PD I think what you shot was a some type of moth and maybe a Luna but it is not a Hummingbird. The lack of a beak is the tell tale sign.

It is a very cool picture and I think that is the same thing that I saw up at the cabin last summer. I will look through mt pictures and see if I can dig one out.

Nice, I think the first one is a spynx moth. We see them in the fall. That nose rolls out almost a foot long!

That is one long probosis! Good pictures perchdestroyer. And Hwood, I'm afraid I had a neighbor that called his 'log' a yard whale. I think that bee might be a chameleon in disguise.

windowpane, thanks for the clarification. I assumed it was some type of hummingbird based on it's flight pattern, dang near identical. I google'd the spynx moth, your right, I wondered what that thing was.
