I hear ya Deitz. It's an awesome event and I'd like to get down there myself. I haven't totally counted out this year yet though.

It's right here in my front yard. I was going to invite you to stay here at our resort if you were coming. I won't fish the tourney as I don't own a Cat, but I would be happy to help with patterns if you were coming. They had it much earlier last year and the lake was up about 30 feet higher than it is right now. Fishing was a little difficult, as the water was muddy, high and cold. Drop a line if you should decide to come. We have a good group that stays here for the tourney and it's a good time.

Welllllllll, now that changes everything... I will now have to look at my calendar a bit harder.

In all honesty, I really dont think I can make it, I think its about a days drive, and being a teacher, I dont get a ton of time to take off thats not a holiday..

Not too many BassCats in MN, Fluker has one, and I know of 2 others... But thats about it.

I saw one on Forest one time I was out there this past summer. It was yellow and white with an E-Tec on the back.

I've seen more and more over the last 5 years. 2 years ago at the State Fed tournament on Leech Lake, the lot was full that morning and throughout the day. But when I was loading up to leave, only 6 rigs were left in the lot (including me). 4 of those were Cats. I thought that was interesting.

I know of a 1/2 dozen or better personally. I believe Des Moines might be the closer dealer, which probably has a lot to do with it. Lots of good top of the line boats out there, so getting your boat brand into a market area seems to be the key.

The Cat you most likely saw was me. I have a Puma with an etec My sides are yellow and white but I have a black w/silver flk top cap.

Mark's Quality Marine in Wautoma, WI is a dealer that is about the same distance as the Des Moines dealer. That is where I got mine. I have totally loved mine.

Like Dietz and Fluker said, not many of us around. My fishing partner has one also. Pantera Classic with an Evinrude.

Thanks Ray, not avoiding just usually don't have as much to add as others. Great information floats around all the time. Hate to muddy the waters when others have said things just as well I could.

Cecil, I haven't seen Jeremy in what feels like 20 years. I hope he is still doing well and kicking tail in all of his tournaments. As far as Brian goes, when I see him come up on caller id I just push mute on the ringer and do my best to avoid him!!!!! LOL Brian is a good guy but one I do my best to not admit that I'm friends with! Love Ya Brian!

There may not be a large quantity of us Cat owners in the area, but I'd like to think there are some quality guys that have Cats in the area.

One of these years, I have to get my schedule arranged such that it allows for partaking in the owners invitational.
