dpms ?

Recommended Posts

I just got a new dpms lowpro flat top in .223. and i got it all sighted in and what not cleaned after every shot and all that worked good.took it home and cleaned it all up put it back together and went out coyote hunting. walked for about an hour through a section we kicked up a yote. took a shot and it ejected fine but did not pick up the next round.worked the charging handle picked it up fine, to make a long story short.got back to the truck and shot again same thing. do i have to much oil is it getting stiff in the cold weather? should i be running it almost dry when it is cold? any help would be great as i spent a lot of money on this and it makes me sick to have a gun that will not cycle

if the bolt isn't going all the way back to pick up the next round it could be your buffer spring hanging up or to stiff for cold weather. check your gas tube see if it loosend up and some ar's like to be run dry so get rid of the oil and try it dry.

I bet it is too much oil. I will put a drop on the "rails" underneath the bolt, oil the top side of the bolt, insert the bolt, manually run it a few times, dismantle it and wipe it with a clean dry cloth. I then reassemble and have not had a problem since I started this routine. You are using too much oil

Second amendmentitis.....Democratic controlled congress and President Obama's past history on gun control have many people concerned that "those assault weapons" like the AR-15 will be outlawed and many other "scarey" things are going to happen to the shooting sports.

If you think that is bad, the price of ammunition has done the same or even more over the last 2 years....

The price of these things are soaring! Like tripled their value in the past three months...whats the deal?

where in the heck did you see ar's marked up 3x? Ive seen some price increases, but not threefold! anybody stupid enough to drop that kind of money is out of their mind. there's still plenty of retailers with reasonable prices. worst Ive seen is a $150 markup on a colt hbar i looked at a couple times. now retailers actually having something in stock...thats a whole different story!

Go to gunbroker at least that's what my uncles was

And if you keep watching the guns on Gunbroker, they keep putting a lot of the same ones back up for sale because people won't pay the outrageous prices they're asking. Just because it's listed for 3x the amount, doesn't mean they'll get it.

Just my 2 pennies...

I would have to say its more then just the president. I know for DPMS it is almost a year wait for your order.

yep, take the fastest growing segment of the firearms industry (the black rifle) toss an ultra liberal democrat into the white house, and presto chango; more work than your somewhat already outsourced factory can handle!!!!
