Thorne Brothers Customer Service

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to thank Matt Johnson at Thorne Bros. for taking a situation I had with my Power Noodle and going the extra to helping me into a new Quiverstick. This 26" panfish rod will be a hot seller for them, the hype for these is out there and from what I read has been a fantastic rod. I can't wait to get the new rod in. Thanks Matt and Lonnie! smilecool

Cool beans Timmy, I want to get a look at that bad boy and maybe land a fish or two with it.

I'm still looking for the 30" with a good back bone, cork handle and nice soft tip for sunfish and crappies (and the occational perch trip).

From what I've heard Matt is a pretty good guy that loves to fish and go that extra mile.

helping me into a new Quiverstick.

Sure... Mr. West and I get new quiversticks and Timmy has to have one? whistle

Ours should be here tomorrow or sat! I love thier Panfish Sweetheart and this rod sounds like a step above...

Lee - Check out Todds new stick I made as soon as possible. Its a Thorne Brothers Powernoodle blank I left at 30 inches per his request. I have one more of those blanks and it could be yours... grin

As far as customer service - they are top notch! I ordered the blanks for the firts ice rods I ever made from them probably 12-15 years ago...

Lonnie made me a beautiful laker rod at the end of the season last year by bumping out a walleye blank to about 42" that is just PERFECT for lakers up to 10lbs or so and I've got it paired up with my Stradic 1000 which is a killer combo. cool They were great to work with in describing exactly what I wanted and I've got 3 of their rods total and all of them are fantastic.

TimmyToe - The rod is sick! I didnt get to fish with it much besides up the neighbors pond but long enough to pop an 11 inch crappie and 9 inch gill. cool

I'll tell you this - the design, components, and craftsmanship are top notch. It's basically a slimmed down version of a Panfish Sweetheart. And Holy Cow it is lite. I weighed it on a scale here and she's less than an ounce! .85 actually

The new Quivertwig is bad to the bone.

I did some Perch Jerking with it yesterday on 'Darago with Tim, Jay and Tank. It is the ultimate light line Perch Rod. I must have another soon. DC...if you want another one let me know. I'll have you order them with your PS discount. I can't wait to get some of those Skinny Goliaths on it grin

Timmy - I had 2# p-line on it yesterday as I figured those fish might need to be teased with the "small" stuff. I have a little bit of the 3 pound purple stuff that i'll put on the other spool...

AW - I believe they are waiting on more blanks but I'll find out...

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
