speared 1st pike today

hi all well it happened today i speared my first pike 22 incher i got him in my neighbors darkhouse he's the one that got me started he said it felt great to get a new young whipper snapper in to spearing he's in his early 70's and said its the most fun he's had in a while. said he wanted to see me spear my first one. he moved in slow and then just as a threw my spear he backed up, hit him square between the eyes he never moved then popped off so i speared him again to retrieve him i was mad at myself that the aim wasnt the best but im learning thanks for all your help on this forum

Congrats! I agree the first one is the hardest, just got my first one this year too.
