How to store your decoys?

I have a tuperware box that I put all my decoys in but that just isn't working anymore. It gets cold and cracks and the decoys get pretty beat up clanging around inside there.

What do you guys use?

I want some thing that is big enough but not so big that it is a pain to move around.

I have just over a dozen decoys that I use along with a small tupperware with assorted snap swivels etc.

Let me know. If you can post pics that would be even better.

Yea merk I'm trying to figure out somthing too. I tried a ice rod bag and its alright but the decoys still get beat up pretty good. I'm thinking about shellin out the money for a musky bait box or makikng a divder system for a 5 gal bucket.

I know what you mean glenn sometimes you just have to have a certain one and then I end up with another one.

I put mine in a small toolbox that has a tray on top that way you can divide them up, plus i put a small piece of carpet on the bottom oof the box to absorb the blows and keeps them from sliding around on the bottom of the box plus it soaks up the moisture. Plus the box has one of those small plastic boxes on top that slides in a grove that you can put small stuff in like leaders, swivels, extra line sinkers etc.

plus it soaks up the moisture.

That is a good idea.

I lost my cell phone to a bear creek decoy.

I put the cell phone in the decoy box thinking it would be safe since I didn't have zippered pockets that day.

At some point I was tired of the bear creek and put it in the decoy box. I guess I didn't drain all the water out of it since the water from it ended up in my cell phone. cry

Good thing it was a cheep cell phone. frown

I made a wooden box and keep all my decoy's in hats. You can usually find 10 hats for $10 at the dollar store. i make all my own decoys and this way they don't get too beat up. I taking the foam from an old couch cushion now and cutting slots in it for the bag on my wheeler.
