I am interested in going this year, have never been there before. Looking for more info on what it is all about, much chance for my kids to get autographs, etc.

You can get some autographs if you don't mind standing in long lines. There is lots of things for the kids to do, batting cages, pitching games, Twingo. Tons of collector stuff there, cards, bobbleheads, that kind of thing.

Lots of info on tickets, new ballpark, minor league teams, live radio shows with big name Twins players, broadcasters, etc.

Plan on staying awhile and you can have a good time.

Do you have to pay for autographs or is that the autograph party I am thinking of?

It is a glorified collectors (SALE) show in my opinion. Lines are real long to get autographs. I've been twice but wasn't thrilled about going back, and probably wouldn't go back again.

The only reason I would go is for the kids to get to see players and get autographs. I don't care to buy collector stuff.

if you are looking for mauer, morneau, killebrew, blyleven get to your line a minimum of an hour and a half in advance. they do strictly enforce the cutoffs no matter how long you have been waiting.

only for minor leaguers, and not even all of them. autographs for [PoorWordUsage] players are 5 bucks, 10 for decent players and 15-25+ pending what you want signed from guys like mauer and morneau and killebrew. if you want harmon to auto a bat i think it costs 50 bucks.

also that price is per autograph, not family. two kids, double the price.

A guy gave me free tix last yr n I declined as the aforementioned "collector sale show" sums it up to a t. Hopefully the HOF call Berts #

Think I will pass on it. The $ goes to a good cause, but not for me this year.

We went a few years ago. For me the attraction was seeing the clubhouse... could not believe how small it was. No photos allowed in there, tho. Fairly decent tour: sit in the dugout, go up the steps to the clubhouse, sit in the media seats. But the LINES. For EVERYTHING. Not really worth it for most things offered. And you used to get a free ticket to a game (after waiting FOREVER in a line...) now, it's a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer. Some nice memorabilia brought in from Cooperstown... no lines there, just wander around the field looking at the stuff.

It costs more money for the better players, and even more for the past Twins' players.

Some of them even have set rules where they can't autograph certain items. I think I remember Carew wouldn't autograph any bats. Pretty ridiculous I'd say...
