boatfixer
I have a customer that has one mounted to a Mercruiser. He seems to like it alot, other than muskrats trying to eat at the cord.
Sandmannd
Yep, I would go to boats and motors for sure. Could try open water but I believe the B&M forum is the right place for that question.
Mid-Lake Rock
I do not own one, but have a friend with a 620 Ranger that has the 101 mounted to his outboard. It is great for trolling and very easy to use. He has talked about upgrading to the 202 on his next boat as a replacement for the kicker. If I had a 620 and some cash this would be a guaranteed purchase. Great piece of gear if it is in your budget. I stand and cast 95% of the time I fish, so I consider the bow mount to be a more important piece of equipment and the engine mounted motor is more of a luxury item - a very nice luxury item. traveler
I don't own one either, but read up on them when I was deciding what to put on my boat. I couldn't afford both a bow and motor mount, and one vs the other I had to get the bowmount. I'm sure it would be nice if you could have both. marine_man
I've heard similar reviews... if you have no other spot to mount one it serves the purpose, but it's not quite a flexible as a bow or stern mounted version.marine_man
