Hey aren't you supposed to be working and not reporting on the I-net laughlaughwhistle must be nice.

AW, sniper007 and myself went off the beach for a few hrs marked fish only one taker and AW got it on a jitterbug with grass shrimp laughgrin.Looks like the beach is the only safe spot to access from just use caution as always. The barge canal has opened up in a few spots cool.

BTW - I only hit that sunfish spot twice this winter. But we are eyeing up a diff spot for sunfish on sat. Come to think of it I dont believe I fished one perticular lake more than twice this winter...

Quiet day at work? You home already?

I talked to Timmy after lunch today and Todds right, TimmyToe talks to the whole free CNY and beyond icefishing world by noon most days at work. I dont know if I should shake his hand or slap him? confused

Fished off Jewel and needed waders to get out there. Water was about knee high to get on the ice. Ice is still 16" but some holes were all white while the most black ice I saw was about 8". Fished for perch and didn't mark a whole lot. More throwbacks than keepers but I did catch two dandies. The first one was a smaller fish but the next two were jumbo's

Tim, at least you caught perch I caught 1 1/2 smallmouth didn't even mark alot of fish at the beach or chapman crazy.Just to let everyone know the ice is moving Iceman and I went off chapman park at 10:30am the ice was fine getting out on nice and flat when we came off at 1:30pm where the ice meets shore it was pushed up an easy 2 feet.If any body that goes out on oneida just be careful all the cracking noise its not making ice its the ice settleing and being pushed up from all the rain we had Be safe.

Bill and I went off the Beach from 6AM till 3:30PM, and marked a lot of fish. Only prob was you couldn't buy a bite,I threw a ton of stuff at them with no luck. Bill did get a small Eye about 2PM. The fish are being real tuff and fickle. Lake talked up a storm today, had a crack go right under my feet, scared the #%** outa me!

Yup she was grumblin thats for sure. I was able to get 2 decent perch off the beach first thing this am. Nothin after that. Today was my last day on the ice for this season. (unless we get another arctic deep freeze that is. It has been a pleasure fishing with those that I fished with and a very educational season for me from all of you here on FM. I look forward to seein you all on the open water...

Yes the main body should hold for a few days for the most part. but There was an awful lot of real sketchy looking stuff on Oneida yesterday. Not sure how bad they actually were cause we avoided anything that looked potentially bad. After seein how much the ice moved in just a couple hours yesterday and seein the forcast for the next few days My shanties will be washed, dried, taken apart and stored by the end of the weekend.

Plus I have a leaking bath tub that needs to be addressed which involves the entire bathroom. So not like ill be bored!!!

Went off Lewis Point today with Bill and Walleye Boy, and we started marking fish right off. Bill put a hurting on the Eyes catching 7 with 5 keepers. I had no luck w/the reg lures so I used a panfish lure and ended my day with 1 Eye 7 White Perch a Burbot and a 30" plus monster Carp. The Carp was the most fun I had all day, as I fought it for about 15 minutes. Gotta love Light Tackle and the challenge it creates at times. WB was only able to ice 2 Yellow Perch, but tomorrow we'll be out there for the final time this ice season and WB will have a chance to improve his luck.

Had a nice day on the ice yesterday with TimmyToe, Thunderchum, Lee the Machine, Tank, and a few others. The fish were not on fire but there. Had to cut alot of holes and chase them around but Tank and I headed home with a nice pail of gills, sunnies, and a few crappies. Quite a few pickerel and some bass around also. An absolutely beutifull day on the ice but the sun is putting a beatin on the ice! Top 2-3 inches were mush and the ice was around 10-12 inches with some holes being mostly white ice. And the ice was getting that bad grey color by the end of the day. Almost time to put a fork in her!

Were fishing one more day pal come on... Just called my boss and I'm in for Monday. Great fishing with you guys on Oneida yesterday and Jay thanks for the treat and sammy. It was pretty slow for me and Todd and I only had 11 sunnies and a pig bluegill. Great company and some pleasant weather..

It started off with a nice sunrise...

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
