I am looking for some people to go riding with, preferebly in their 20s or 30s around the anoka/ramsey/st francis/princeton area. My only friends with sleds live 1+ hours away and its getting old trailering that far just to go on a 20 mile ride. I am in my mid 20s.

Rum river runs would be fun, never done it. I am off tomorrow so if anyone is going riding and doesnt mind someone tagging along that would be sweet.

Thanks!

your in your mid twentys, darn it, I guess we won't go riding since you won't be able to keep up with this 45 year old well expierenced rider. laugh

I didnt mean anything by it. I just figure if they are around my age range we probably would have more in common. I hang out with more people now in their 40-50s than I do in their 20s.

I rode the last few days, and will be riding again tomorow if your interested. not a lot of miles, just playing around sherburne county. I will be riding out of big lake saturday afternoon, I have a 2008 F8 sno pro, green if we meet on the trail.

and trout fishing, we just had a fantasy football playoff draft with my buds, and are planning a laker trip some time this winter. I will get back to you on that if things get set in stone.

Thanks for the offer, booked this weekend. But yes if you guys do any bigger trips sleding or Fishing and need someone to fill in the gaps on gas, or trailer space, I have a two place with only one sled on it. I'll check in from time to time. Running up to Brainered fishing this weekend.

Moe,

Be careful on the river. I've ridden it before and know a lot of guys do, but it can open and close pretty quick. Soft spots can be anywhere.

Have a fast, light sled.

They landed a helicopter in front of my house on Sunday to transport a guy who went through the ice to the hospital. He was said to be in serious condition.

There's a pretty extensive trail system North of St. Francis. But you probably already know that.

Moe--and others who replied--I would up for riding around here anytime. I am in Elk River and have been doing some ice fishing locally. ready to ride up around the National refuge or whatever, St Franny area would be good to. I need a good amount of snow-I have a mountain sled with the deep lugs. So ice running is not for me for long distances.

But there seems to be a little snow here and there to play in. -=-- laugh

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
