Favorite Crappie Live Bait

Just wondering what all of your favorite live bait is for crappies??

On a set line, it is always a minnow.

Ona jig line I go between a Waxie, Maggie, or plastic. I always start with plastic and go from there. The prefered bait seams to vary from lake to lake.

Euro Larva or crappie minnows. Depends on what's working that day. There's never one "Go To" bait, change it up till you start to snag 'em.

Funny you say that. Last Sunday, I changed up a few times and actually started to snag them between the gil plate and lip. Changed again and they started taking them.

Picked up some of the mousie's. Buddy of mine had some and they worked pretty good for us. Have to see if that holds true the next excursion on the ice.

finkys,shrimpos,demons or just a #8 gamagatsu glow hook for set lines. Smallest ice bobber and smallest sinker trimmed so it barely will float even if it slowly sinks might be a plus. Truthfully if i just panfish I rarely by minnows only waxies, if youre in a really deep hole crappie fishing sometimes theres so much clutter when the crappies move in you cant see well enough to jig then i go to bobber with small minnows.

I have my best luck consistently with crappie minnows. I do switch up between plastics and euros when the minnows aren't working.

For jiggiing its a Ratso with eurolarvae and a spring bobber. Deadstick- crappie minnow on a demon.
