Coon
I know I really dont need the flasher in short water, but I was trying to use it yesterday and was having a problem picking up my jig without cranking the gain sky high. There were weeds half way to the hole. Did that have anything to do with it ya think? I used it last year at a place with short water and didn't have this problem, but there wasn't any weeds either. Any thoughts?
Jim Almquist
Weeds are more then likely your problem but did you try narrow beam to see if that would help ?

PerchJerker
what's NBT? Narrow Beam Transducer
Deitz Dittrich
Huey- as PerchJerker stated, its the Narrow beam transducer. The LX-5 is a standard dual beam unit. Using a narrower beam allows you to read through the weeds rather than see all the clutter.
