I have heard nothing but bad things about Moon Valley, this is why I am seeking out something else.

Worst case I take the drive south and shoot at the rifle range near my girlfriends families place.

I did shoot last night but its not something I can just go do at my convience.

True. I was hesitant to shoot my rifle on my property. It is a very loud gun, and might make people nervous. I'll have to take it into the boonies with me sometime and shoot it smile.gif

I live in the country...is it ok to sight in a rifle on my property? I do have a neighbor through the woods and a safe place to shoot into an embankment.

It should be legal to shoot on your own property as long as you are outside of the city limits. Maybe speak with your neighbors to make sure they are cool with it just in case and out of respect for them.

You could drive up north to Beaverbrook gun club.It would be maybe a 45 minute drive for you? From Hopkins take 494 to 694 east to hwy 65(central ave.) go north to klondike blvd. go east about 1 to 1-1/2 mile look for signs on the north side (left) for it.Take the dirt road all the way back to the club house and then go right to the rifle range shack. They have an exelent range,25,50 and 100 yrd's spotting scopes, targets provided. It is only $7.00 per gun,$1.00 for bore sight, and $.50 for ear plugs. They change targets for you and have knowlegable people to help you if you need any thing.Get there by 8:30 AM or around noon for the best time to move through the line qwick.

Huskminn, thanks for the offer but I did find a place. My girlfriends uncle belongs to a club down in Sandborn, really nice place, they have rifle range, pistol range and a trap area with 5 throwers 2 of those five are voice activated throwers.

Very nice to go here, there wasn't anyone else there this time of year as everyone pretty much shoots shotguns in that area.

Got her all sighted in, 2.5" high at 100yds, and the last three shots were all inside the same hole, the hole just got a little wider with each shot.

No excuses now, just show me a deer and they only thing I can blame is myself!
