Which monitor resolution????

Had to go and buy a new 24" LCD monitor today [couldn't find a crt!] what resolution should I set it at? 1024 looks real jagged and gnarly. 1280 looks pretty decent. Anyone know??

If it's 16:9 aspect ratio, it's probably 1920x1200.

My new 19" LCD came with a chart listing the parameters the chart says for wide mode(I would assume that is 16:9) on a 24" to set it to 1920x1200.

It should have a native resolution listed in the manual or on the box. LCDs always look best at their native resolution. Unfortunately if your video card is more than 2-3 years old it may not support some of the new resolutions. Then you'll need a new card.
