What Month can you start creating Mock Scrapes here in Minnesota?

You can make them now or even earlier and hang some buck urine over them. Got me a nice 8pt in Sept about 5 years ago hunting over my mock scrapes.

Last year we had alot of scrapes around in late august so I started a mock scrape opening weekend. 4 days later a decent 8 pointer came in and checked it out. he continued using it for a month or so.

I have a couple of scrapes that are active and used year round. I have killed deer off of one of them. It is odd and I have only seen this on the one property, but it is there.

I think you can mock up any time you are ready for it. Bucks are ready to start rutting as soon as the antlers are free of velvet, so get them going.
