Ceiling Fans

Looking at putting in a 12v ceiling fan in my 6.5x16 fish house. Anyone have any suggestions and where did you purchase the fan.

Make sure it is high enough so you don't hit it when you stand up.

You don't need a full blown home type ceiling fan in a fishouse it's over kill if that's what you meant.

I'd lean towards something smaller like Computor Fans or something similar they take up less juice, room and move the air perfectly.

If your dead set on a house type ceiling fan you could get a AC/DC converter.

Go to one of the this sites sponsors, Fish House Supply, Ron sells them and he's a great guy to deal with. I've had one for three years now, run it all the time. It only uses .75 amps per hour, quiet as a mouse and works great, trust me, once you buy one, who will be glad you didn't go the computer fan route.

I bought some 6 inch clip on fans at Menards and they are quiet and work great!

A friend of mine bought the same ceiling fan like Augusta has in his house. Here is a link to it http://fishhousesupply.com/12vlights.htm He can run it all weekend on a small Vexilar battery. It is real easy on battery juice!

I built a 16' house with 7' inside walls, my first venture out was to Red. It was -20, I have a celing fan in mine, got it all fired up. It was pretty warm up top, and cool on the floor, turned fan on an was a little better. Turned fan on in reverse and wow! It works awesome. I would say within 5 deg floor to celing with a radiant wall heater. They are worth every penny! Fishhousesupply
