Catmendo Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 For those unfamiliar with these little beauties, they're called, "Bog Laurel's" and are commonly found in or along the edges of bog's, marshes and ditches or anywhere there's a little extra moisture to take advantage of. Down here we call that a swamp milkweed (deeper wine colored blossoms than the common milkweed), but I know flower common names vary a lot in different parts of North America.
