Lake Winnipeg sunset set...

Yesterday evening, I took a drive out to Grand Beach on Lake Winnipeg. The "lagoon" which is located inland from the lake, but is directly connected, is absolutely teaming with bird life right now. From canada's to kingfishers, sandpipers to ospreys and a good assortment of diving ducks! All the more reason I need to purchase the 100-400!!!

Since my 70-200 limits my ability to capture good wildlife pic's, I decided to walk along the shores of the "BIG" lake with my 17-40 to see if the sun wanted to cooperate. This is one of dozens I captured during sunset, I named it "Fire and Ice"...
