To my untrained eye I think the blackbirds are great. It looks like they're sunlit to me. Better than my first attempts for sure.

I have tried the better beamer earlier and didn't like it, but was not using high speed sync. Then the post came up a few days ago about fill flash and I saw what was wrong. Got to love the info on this site.
