Something captivating about a loon!....just such a quiet stately ,majestic, bird!....glad we are blessed here in the north country with these beautiful birds!...another image of our common loon from earlier this week on Carey Lake near Hibbing(still was iced over except for a few feet along the shoreline)...not your "conventional" capture as I took this looking almose directly into the sun and glare off the still waters...still ended up quite decent with the "sillouette" look ...just different!

Nice shot Johnny, I was going to take my kayak over there and see if I could get some pictures of that loon. It rains and snows on my days off though....lol
