Eric Wettschreck
I have cedar siding on my house. In the past I've used the clear CWF every couple of years. Looks real nice.My question is, what outside temp should a guy apply this stain at? In the past I've done it in the summer, and I think it worked well. I'd like to get it done this year before the mid-summer sun blazes it's hotness on me and I lose 35 lbs in sweat. Spring time would be wonderful, but I don't want to do this while it's too cold out and have to do it all over again.
sparcebag
There should be temp recomendations on the cans,I'd make sure its dry, and most paints & stains if I remember right suggest 50 or above for application.
Neighbor_guy
If it is above 50 you should be ok. Most paints and finishes have 45-50 as the recomended. In the spring you have to watch out for over night temps as well.
PerchPounder
With weather like it is today you may want to wait a few days until we actually hit 50 again and less than 30mph winds.

The wind doesn't bother me that much as I'm not going to be the one actually doing the work. I have 2 teenage boys.
