propster
Boy Reb, I wish I could help you. I have no experience in dealing with glass, or even taking that big an outboard off. Somebody out there has to have some advice for you though. Sounds like you've bitten off quite a task. If your boat isn't ready, Hunter and I will get you out in June still. Good luck with your project!

Good luck with your project!Sounds great!!! Im sure I'll get some done between now and June 7th, then more done when its too HOT to fish... little by little in between... Well... overall... I think the boat is well worth it to fix up... It hasnt touched a lake in 9 years... been sitting at the Marine for past 8-9 years... Just need to give it lot of TLC and get it back to a "NEW" condition, then she'll last for other 20 years or so...
Scoot
Rebel, this isn't my specialty (not even close). However, I do know enough to listen to people who I consider to really have expertise. My suggestion is this- pay particular attention to what Steve Bakken and Marine_Man have to say in there. These two pretty much have all the answers or know where to get them. Seem to be really bright dudes and I take their word about boat repair as "Truth".Looks like you're getting good advice from several people- cool. Suggesting you focus on the input of Steve and Rob isn't meant to be a shot at anyone else giving you advice. I just know those two fellas really know their stuff... Rebel9921
John... Im learning more and more as I work on it... This is my first time doing any work on a boat, especially fiberglass... I've found more than several forums online that provides TONS of info and help when you need it... its been very helpful!!! Im sure you could do a good job on a similar project...JRedig... Yeah... crazy but... since the company didnt "DO IT RIGHT" the first time... Im doing the right way this time around... Theres just toooooooo many wrong things the company did with this boat... its insane... once Im done with doing the right things... imagine how long she'll last... a VERRRRRRRRY long time... I probably will be "boatless" again this year... but at least I wont have any problem at the French Lake access (Its SO SHALLOW)...
