Neighbor_guy
As anyone could've figured out I am primarily a jig fisherman. (I wanderer who got me started down that road.) One method that I realy worked hard last year was swimming jigs in place of spinnerbaits or cranks. It worked great. My best producer last year was a bitzy bug with a beast. 5" for Lmouth and a 3" for Smouth. Now here is the ??? Does Berkley make a white/pearl or a salt/peper beast? I like to pair my skirts with my trailors and am looking to add the white jig back to my beast application. If not I guess I will stick with the 4" pearl/peper power grub with the white skirts, but I like the painfully slow fall and big profile of the beast. Central Bassman
They do NOT make a beaster in white or pearl. They only color that is close is baby bass. Check out the berkley HSOforum for all the colors they make.
JP Z
You can always switch to a different brand for that color scheme if you want........of course it sort of defeats the purpose of staying with Berkley......
Central Bassman
I'm a fan of the beast to, i dont think there is a nother company that makes a bait just like the beast. There are some close but not it. I seem to do really when on them in the spring
Craig Plummer
Looks just like a Sweet Beaver by Reaction Innovations, I know they have a white
Central Bassman
They are similar but not that close!!! I have tank tested both of them and the beast falls different then a beaver type bait. The beaver would work good as a jig trailer though.
Neighbor_guy
Well that stinks. I realy like the beast + Skirted jig. It is all in the fall/glide. And the profile and GIANT chunk of soft plastic are great, they dont spit 'em. Guess I will try to find something else, mabe a paddle tail or a larger grub...... JP Z
NG,Baby bass is your best bet. Go on Berkleys site and check the color patterns and I'm sure you can find something. Also check the Pearl Olive Shad, Sabertail Burly Bug.
