That pitchers like Brian Bannister always shut down the Twins? This team makes me wonder sometimes..

Bannister is a good pitcher. He is 3-0 now this year...wins against the Tigers, Yankees, and now the Twins...with a baserunner per inning ratio less than 1.

Last year he was 12-9 with an ERA of 3.87 and a baserunner per inning ratio a very good 1.21.

But to hit into all of these double plays, it means we are getting guys on base!

we just couldn't string anything together yesterday. The run we did score was unearned and we really didn't have more than 1 other good scoring opportunity that we didn't capitalize on. He faced the minimum batters in like 7 of the 9 innings.

Tells me that it is early in the season!!!! Patients there are a lot of game through out the season. Heck look at Detroit!! The Twins will do all right. The Saturday game is how it is suppose to work. Have your starter pitch 6 to 7 strong innings and then let the bullpen come and do their job. Heck two shut outs in a row. Over all a good road trip for out Twinkies!!!!

Twins are leading the lead in stupid double plays. Do we need to hit and run more?

Bannister is a real solid pitcher. Will have more wins than his pops in 4-5 years.

Hopefully mauer and gomez can figure out their combined 0-23 streak!
