Ugly Game Last Night

Yup, ITS EARLY!!!!! Detroit is 0-3 and the Royals are 3-0 SWEEPING Detroit IN Detroit!!!!! Impressive. Anyone ready to call the Royals the AL Central Champs and mark the Tigers in the 5th spot. I THINK NOT! So don't rule out the Twins..... We'll see what they do against the 1st place Royals this weekend!!!!! Another tough loss today. 3 of the 4 games were 1 run games. We played a good team and played some close games. I'm not worried!

Yeah it's early,, but late enough to say the Twins don't have the pitching of a year ago. No Cy Young and on. Our lineup is nice, but KC and all the rest have better starting pitching. and I see the TWins placing last in a very comp AL Cent.

First place will not be decided by more than 12 games between the 5 teams. Twins 81-81 at best.

2 years from now, I expect 95-100 wins.

Whether they are champs this year or not, I will watch them as much as I can! This team has some really good talent waiting to break out! And I will be there cheering them on and watching when it happens!

If they can hold onto this group of guys and pick up a good pitcher or get some from within. (Liriano gets healthy too) This team will be exciting if not this year than '09 and '10. As a lot of people are saying this is a team being built for the new stadium so to speak. If we have to sit through a year or two of .500 baseball to make a real run at a championship then it'll pay off. The Twins organization seems to know what its doing most of the time! Anyways the WILD are in the playoffs and Northwest Champs, so if the Twins stink it up at least we've got something to cheer for for a while!!!!!

I'm not so sure that's any better than having talent that "used to be good". Yes, the Twins have some talent but they're a mediocre team at best and they're an injury or two away from disaster (i.e. shallow bench).

Their pitching is set up to be very strong for years to come. As far as arms go, the Twins are plump full of them. Our holes are in our lineup, and always have been.

Problem with the Twins is that when they draft players, they draft cheap. Meaning they will draft guys that will sign for less, rather than going for the top flight guys that demand more money, which most top hitting prospects demand.

That is why their system is so bare when it comes to hitting prospects.

What the Twins need to do this year IMO, is figure out what they have with these young pitchers. Find out which ones are dispensable and which ones they want to keep and flip a few of them for some more young bats if possible. We need to balance out our organizaion, we have tons of arms, but not very many bats ready to contribute other than the ones on the big league roster already.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
