chasineyes
What method is best for doing this. Squeegee or paper towels???
Bigeye30"
Every year I wash the windows at our office, a little dish soap and warm water, applied with a cloth, wash rag. and squeege off, works greak, Paper towels seems to smear,
harvey lee
I use aersol window cleaner and a cloth rag. seems to clean great and nothing for smearing. Seems the aersol type is better for no streaks than the liquid bottle like Windex.
echotrail
A little liquid Dawn dish soap in room temp water and a squeege to wipe it off.
IFallsRon
Dish soap and warm water if they're not too bad. Ammonia and hot water if they're nasty. Vinegar and hot water if they're hard-water spotted. All followed by a rinse with the hose and the squeege. If extra is needed, I'll follow with Windex or some such spray. Some say use a wadded-up newspaper as that leaves no streaks.
chasineyes
Thanks for the help, sounds like a squeegee is the answer versus paper towels, I would have never guessed dishsoap. I guess I can save my $200 and make a few extra trips up north!!! Oh wait with the price of gas maybe only 1 extra trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bottomdweller
I use crumpled up newspaper. No streaks at all.
