Walterwontfalter
Looking out the window at the snow coming down into the mud puddles on the driveway, I curse winter and look towards spring. I think my first ride as soon as the snow melts will be, first to the gas station to top off with some fresh fuel and then to hwy 73 to Chisolm and around through Virginia and back South toward home. About a 4 hour ride. Where will everyone else go on that first ride of the year?
Eric Wettschreck
Mine will probably be just to work. I know, boring.
Hafnutz
I'm probably going to head over to a shop and get some new tires put on. I haven't been riding much the last few years and realized the ones on there are about 8 years old. I got close to 20,000 out of them so it's about time. I'm thinkin it's cheap insurance. Glockwinger
Had a 10 mile ride on a 40 degree day when I pulled it from storage, so I guess that was the 1st of the season. My first "long" ride will probably be to work.
Bandit
I usually just ride around town till the rain cleans up the roads and the temps hit 60.
Phred52
Took my first ride yesterday 3/19, total of about 28 miles. Started out cleaning the bike from storage and couldn't resist. Besides, I can clean in the garage where there's heat, light and tunes, at night. Now we'll get a bunch of snow to slop things up, but I'm ready! Glockwinger
Well I broke down and rode down to Belle Plain and went to the Motorsports shop there. Bought a second intercom headset for the wife's helmet and a flag to mount on the antenna. 'Spose it was about 40 miles or so. Now today I shoveled 7" of snow off the driveway
Youngbuck
I know my first ride of the year will be on April 5th when the new bike comes home from the dealer. The real actual ride will be on April 19th on the Flood Run.
hondarider550
Well I rode my "new to me" Goldwing home from the dealer on Thursday at about 40 degrees. I rode that same bike to work today with a high of about 44. I am so ready to start riding daily or even on the weekends.
tipup
Besides just the little cruises around the county and town, i think that i want to make my first ride to South Western MN. I want to hit the river valley and the bluffs. I have no real idea where i think a friend and I will just take off in the morning and head out and see what we can find. Walterwontfalter
Just to follow up. My first ride was, like I said to top off the tank and then straight back home, 10 miles total. It started raining and it was only 38 degrees. My second ride was only about 60 miles. Got home from work one afternoon and had some equipment in my pocket I forgot to turn in. Had to drive back right away anyway so used it as a good excuse to ride the bike.
