Steve Foss
Nice environmental mallard shots, yakfisher, and I like your juvie eagle on the other thread, too. Good to get out there and find open water, eh?
yakfisher
I might just be a hair warmer down here in the urban heat dome
finnbay
Nice shots! Hope to see some of them around here soon. I like the first one best!
mmeyer
Great shots Yakfisher. I like the 2nd one the most.
yakfisher
One more mallard. One of these days I'll set up a blind and wait to take some shots of the other end of the ducks.
MN Shutterbug
Nice shots, all of them. I think I'd choose #2 also, due to a less cluttered BG.
mountaindew
Great shots! Wonder what metering did you have your camera set on with those shots?
Dbl
Open water shots and ducks that are in their colorful spring plumage, good work. Now I know spring is on its way.
yakfisher
I was using matrix metering, with the first shot taken at 230mm, f10, 1/2000, ISO 800, ev -1/3. I explain the ISO thing with my eagle shot, but basically I wasn't paying attention. The second and third shots were at 300mm, f10, 1/1600, ISO 800, ev -1/3 and the fourth was at 300mm, f13, 1/2500, ISO 800, ev -
