Nice pics everyone! Its awesome how many people participated in this even after just the first month. I ended up buying a panasonic dmc-fz8 after getting some recommendations on here. Definatly havn't learned how to use the thing yet on the manuel settings. Anyways went out this weekend on a hike and came away with this pic.

Nice shot, grousehunter. Like it's the lone green sentinel overlooking all those bare deciduous tree trunks. Nice job!

Up until this past fall, my mom's family has shared ownership of a cabin. The time spent there is honestly some of my favorite time anywhere.

The cabin resides on what has been affectionately named Christmas tree point. This is one of my favorite pictures of that point.
