March 5: “Spring Panfish”

Host(s): Matt Johnson and Pat Smith

Description: It's time to start thinking open water. Let the panfish fun begin!!!

March 12: “Muskies”

***SPECIAL GUEST: Steve is a muskie guide up on Mille Lacs Lake.

March 19: “Shield Muskies”

Host(s): Luke Ronnestrand

Description: Muskies on the Shield! Luke will talk about tips and tactics to help you land more muskies on the great lakes of the north!

***SPECIAL GUEST: Luke is a muskie guide up on Mille Lacs Lake as well as other lakes throughout the Midwest. Luke is also co-owner of Holcombe Tackle.

March 26: “Muskies”

Host(s): Bart Rosen

Description: Bart works for Normark which includes the Rapala, Storm, Blue Fox, VMC, Dr.Juice, and Williamson brands--so he knows his baits! He has also been in many tournaments and been an instructor at muskie and walleye schools.

We will also have an appearance from John Roundsley during the month of March. John is a Professional Bass angler who will be giving a monthly seminar at Thorne Bros, so keep an eye out for new info and times for his seminars!

I updated the info for Luke's seminar. Luke will be talking about "Shield Muskies." Luke is quite the accomplished muskie angler who has caught more 50-inch muskies out his boat in the last couple years than just about anyone around...

The first open water seminar will be this Wednesday...

It was a great time last night, not only did we get to sit and listen to Matt and Pat once again give out some great information about early spring panfish, but the Thorne staff had cooked up fish for all attendees. Everyone stuck around until well after the store closed and just talked fishing. Thanks to all the guys at Thorne last night.

That smoked catfish was awesome. grin.gif

Luke is quite the resource for avid muskie anglers. This is definitely a seminar I would consider if you're looking to pick the brain of someone who has caught A LOT of big fish!!!

This Wed. March 26 we will be having Bart Rosen here talking about timing when muskies feed/how to be on the right spot at the right time. Bart works for Normark (Rapala, Storm, Blue Fox, VMC, Williamson), has taught at many different fishing schools, is a tournament fisherman and has been quietly putting some big fish in the boat these last couple of years. As usual, our seminars start at 7pm.

Next Wed, April 2 is going to be a really great night to learn what the Canadian Shield has to offer. We will be having 3 premier Canadian resorts here to educate you on their waters and how to fish them. Andy Myer's Lodge (Eagle Lake), Moosehorn Lodge (Lac Suel) and Rough Rock Lodge (Winnipeg River) will all be here. If you are looking to book a trip or just want more info, this is a great opportunitly to get all of your questions answered and learn a lot more.

We're still finalizing our April seminars--so keep checking back. Remember to mark your calendars for our 25th annual Spring Sale coming up on April 18-20!!!
