Eagles and Grouse.

Well, I probably don't have to tell anyone where these were shot today..... It is funny how the subjects one day can differ so much from the next. I haven't seen a ruffed grouse in ages and they were all over the trees on Arkola Rd today.

that is interesting because I havent seen any for a while, grouse, but thias evening it seemed every tree with the buds they like had grouse. Hmmm, i wonder??

Very nice images Jay!...A great example of images of what's in that "bog" and why people flock to it! ...rarely one leaves with nothing but certain days are better than others...In the image where the grouse is about to eat the catkins really catches my eye and the grouse already chomping on another catkin ,one can see the detail of "catkin bits" as the grouse grasps it...beautiful images Jay!

The Grouse are really cool they must have felt that was the time to feed or their best chance for awhile anyhow - looks like you had a great day up there.
