Portable fish house weights?

Here's something I've been thinking about for a while. I've been in search of a new portable and narrowed it down to a Fishtrap X2 (145lbs) or Otter Magnum Lodge (80lbs).

What I can't understand is why both of these houses are similar in dimension, and yet are 60lbs apart in weight. The Otter weight says it includes the house and sled (no seats?) so you could add say 20lbs for seats and there is still a 45lb difference.

The reason I ask is that I'm trying to keep the weight down as low as possible for hand pulling while fishing alone, and loading into a pickup.

Has anyone else thought about this, or better yet, weighed their X2 or Magnum Lodge?

The X2 may weigh more because of type of fabric. The sled could be heavier as well. Not to mention if you add hyfax or not...this will add a little weight. All things considered.

I have the X2 and could easily load it in the back of my pickup even after i tweaked my back. Its a two step process but can be done with out taking everything out of the sled (leave my wood console, batteries, and tackle/rods)

I have a two man frabill and like the house. I don't however like it when I am alone trying to get it back into my truck. uffda, I gave up working out for a reason. That is why I have officially made up my mind mind to buy a single man flip over to add to my mobility, when I have two people,or when I know we are going to stay stationary I use the two man, when alone run and gun with the one man!

I hear ya. Most times when I am with someone we even bring our own just for the mobility of it. I can count the number of times my two man has seen ice this winter on one finger. There is no question which one I prefer I will take my 43lb scout out anyday over my 100lb+ two man.
