I called Clam Corp. last fall to see if they had canvas for a Fishtrap 3, and the answer was no longer available.I would assume the same answer would be true for a 'Trap 2,being both are the same generation of Fishtraps.

tacklebox, Clam does not make it any longer.

I fished out of a Trap II for more than 10 years, constantly patching holes in the weak canvas, and inquired about a new tent two or three years ago.

No go, they said.

However, the Guide isn't very different in dimensions from the Trap II, and if I'd have had the extra jing at the time I'd have experimented with the Guide tent on my Trap II.

I finally gave up on my Trap II just after Christmas this season. It wasn't exactly worn out, though it was DARN close. But Santa came with a new Otter Cottage for me. grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Have some great memories of that Trap II. It was the shelter I started ice fishing out of, and that was an 11-year run in the same flipover. As an aside, if you can't afford a new shelter, I found that the adhesive nylon patches found at fabric stores (and WalMart) reinforced with hot glue along the seams, were the best patches for the old canvas. After several years of this I had a shack that looked like Joseph's Technicolor Dreamcoat. I had patches on my patches. grin.gifgrin.gif
