I'm all for Turkey and Walleye, but the last 4-5 years makes me wonder if things haven't changed. Hopefully we can have a more normal Minnesota winter.

Exudedude and I were out last Thanksgiving on about 3-4 inches out on Coon Lake. Also ran into Hawgtime. I think this year should be the same, I hope. Sure am ready for it.

Slick, FYI, the temp on the Dead C was 56 deg. yesterday. was 74 a week after labor day. things are cooling nicely!

I thought December 6th was early last year on LOW. Maybe can beat it this year. Caught fish all day long. Early ice is the best fishing!!

Icewolf and myself were out on a little lake north of Mille Lacs with my 4-wheeler Thanksgiving weekend last year. I am thinking the same this year.

My dog's water dish had an inch of ice on it this morning. If the cool temps keep up we'll have fishable ice on smaller lakes by Mid Nov. up north.

Easy guys, the same thing happened last year. There was a nice early cold snap that got us hard water guys excited, but it was followed by unseasonably warm weather for a few weeks.
