Jarrett replaces Wallace

Dale Jarrett is now going to be in the booth instead of Rusty Wallace for the races covered by ESPN. A good move, IMO.

DJ I feel does a much better job. Rusty just doesn't have the same on-screen/ ability to call the race well...

DJ will be good. Rusty gets into the me and I. He like to hear himself talk. DJ is only going to be part time the 1st year or so. Look for him to join the senior golf tour in the future.

Yeah, Rusty did get into the Me and I a lot. I'm sure it was tough for him watching his first year out of it.

As an announcer? Certainly not as player.

I haven't heard anything about him joining the golf tour, but they have said many times that he could have went pro when he was young. He is apparently pretty darn good, but decided to follow his dad into racing instead.

That whole ESPN screw sucked in my opinion. I liked Rusty as a driver, but he didn't quite cut it as an announcer. Brad Daurghty??(the basketball player) didn't know anything about racing but is a good speaker, and Andy Petree never said anything.

Not only the crew, but the coverage. Never saw a good restart with the abc/espn coverage. "And we are back, the cars areon the back streach....."
