Nestor Falls report

Recommended Posts

We fished the Sabaskong Bay area around Nestor Falls this last weekend. There are remnants of slush in different areas but most of it has frozen. We did a lot of traveling and pulled a house & tote. There are about 10 inches of descent ice and a few inches of snow cover.

Gordy Shrum had started to plow the road out to the lake but hit slush in the bay and stopped. All indications are travel will be sled or quad only for a while. Check the helmet laws for operating a sled or quad and save yourself some grief

But I think to end the guess work you are wondering what the rules are on helmets? I believe all riders/passengers of ATV's and snowmobiles have to have one on at ALL times, the lake is not exempt.

Crappies are biting as rediculously well as they always do there. No problem filling up at any time of day. There are alot of 8-9" fish though...good for the fishery, but bad if they die when we are catching them and trying to release them. Basically anywhere you go you will catch crappies.
