stupidity

Well it is time for a story of my never ending stupidity on the ice. A few weeks ago I am 5 miles out on Mille Lacs all toasty in the shack when a crappy movie comes on and lord knows the fish were not biting. So, I decide to go change the LP tank and then go inside to fall asleep for the afternoon to a bad movie. I step outside in my slippers, comfy pants and t-shirt. It takes mere seconds to swap tanks and it's a good thing because it is well below zero with the wind chill. Task accomplished I turn and grab the door...oh $hit, its locked. No problem I'll just grab the screwdriver out of the truck and break in...WRONG, trucks locked as well. Now you guys know what it is like on ML on a sunday afternoon, it's a ghost town! Well at this point I am shivering and starting to freak out. I start looking for signs of life and about 150 yards away I see a lone truck by a shack so I start running to them. Now keep the picture of me in slippers and t-shirt in your cartoon bubble. Well I make it there, knock on the door and walk right in stating that I am cold AND an one-who-thinks-I-am-silly. Explaining the situation this fella gives me a screwdriver, hat, coat and gloves and off to the shack I go.
Had this happened after dark...who knows could have been ugly so be careful and hope you enjoyed visualizing this one
