Deep Cycle Batteries

My father passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago, and I am in the process of going through all of his "stuff" I can tell he winterized the boat and removed the batteries. My question is, Other than keeping them in the basement, do I need to keep a charge on them over the winter or is it OK to let them sit until spring?

Sparce isn't there a product out there, that is a rejuvanator of batteries? Additive a guy can dump in that would so to speak bring a battery back to 100% Not in charge terms but he battery once its charged by the charger? If that makes any sense... I have a battery that only lasted for 3 hours this summer, I have tried running it down, Charging it full, then using the recondition phase, it still does not want to stay up. Is there a wonder product out there? I swear I have seen such product, but maybe its my mind playin tricks.

I am very sorry to hear about your father, nothing is worse than going through his things. Too many memories.

When storing the batteries, do not leave them on the concrete floor, set them on a bench or a couple of 2x4's

It would not hurt to put the charger on them in 60 days or so just to top them off.
