I love chickadees, they look so cute and are always so curious. These came quite close to me today.

It was hard to miss these little guys today -- they posed right in front of me, I'm just glad that I'm getting better with metering with the 40D -- my 20D would underexpose so I'm used to that. The 40D is about 1/3 over.

That first image has everything going for it, IMO. Lighting, exposure, perch, great pose. Love it.

Thanks guys -- had to get out today while the sky was blue and THE SUN WAS OUT! These were taken with the 70-200, no TC today. I've been thinking of selling my zoom for a longer birding lens but I love how light the f/4 L is. I might have to settle for more environmental type photos.
