mthunter
Last year I bought a 2000 Polaris XC 700 Deluxe and due to the lack of snow didn't really notice how much gas it sucked down. Went out for a quick ride Saturday evening and put on 36 miles and used a little over 6 gallons of gas and am wondering if I have a fuel leak or are these sleds just that thirsty? DEADhead
they're thirtsy, plus all that fresh fresh powder doesn't help fuel economy
hanson
They are that thirsty, especially when you are spinning the track in fresh powder like Deadhead mentioned. My range on my ZR600 EFI is about 100 miles per tank, probably in the 8 mpg range. DitchPickle13
Sounds about right...I think about 100 miles/tank is typical for a newer 600, sometimes a little more for a 700+ maybe(that's what I get - '01 ZR600). 6 mpg seems a little on the low side, monitor it over varied conditions and try to get a realistic average before getting too concerned. Have fun!
MuskieJunkie
2003 Polaris xcsp 600 I get 10 mpg. One tip is to run 87 octane and set the key switch for it. You'll save money and never notice a performance loss.
