maros91
I have been at my house for 3 years and really haven't had to do it yet. Do you guys shovel your deck off after a big snow? If you leave it on will it warp your deck from the weight after a long winter? Just to be safe I will shovel mine off after this snow.
The_Duckslayer
I have a plastic shovel that I use and I always shovel it off. Never know when ya might need to use it! I just do it so that the weight does not sit there all winter. Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimob
Bobby Bass
I keep mine clean 20x20 the weight of the snow is not a concern, not really that much there when you have it spread ( the weight ) across the deck. I keep mine clean because I still use my deck in the winter and the dogs might be lazy and treat it as part of the yard. plastic shovel also, metal will bite into the wood making slivers. Powerstroke
I typically use a plastic shovel on my deck. It wraps around 2 sides of my house so there is some footage there. Last year in the double storm in March I shoveled it into a huge pile that took a long time to melt off in the spring and my deck was fine. Maybe the bigger concern is how well your deck is attached to the house. If its higher up and might have a poor attachment to the house or poor footings I would be more worried about the weight. maros91
It's just right outside the dining area by the kitchen. I will shovel it just to be safe.
