Over/under shotgun

TrenPT

Question

I was wondering if anyone out there has any recommendations of over/under shotguns? I want to keep the price under $700 if possible, and just want to know if there are brands I should stay away from with regards to mechanics. Thanks for any input.

Mike

I haven't tried the Mossberg, so can't comment on it. But I will say this from experience... you get what you pay for. I went a cheap route years ago. I wish I had saved a bit more and gotten a better quality one. I know some are quite spendy, but my buddies with the "quality" brands are still using theirs, I am not still using mine. Good luck.

edit: sorry, my brand is American Arms.

Do yourself a favor you'll never regret. Spend the winter searching for a used Browning Superposed. To get down into your price range it will have to be one that is less than perfect, but as long as it functions it won't matter. You'll be shooting it fifty years from now. grin.gif

I picked up a CZ Canvasback this summer. I only have about 4 boxes of shells through it, but no problems. Fit and finish seems much better then the Mossberg. It fits me good and I shoot well with it.
