How to setup Pak- Sled

I just got my pak sled and pak shack and i cant figure out how to set up the sled??? if anyone has any info please share!

I spoke to soon i answered my own question just by tinkering around with it a little, cool little system if you ask me! cant wait to bring it onto the ice!

Ryan,

You will find that is a great little sled when there is snow on the ice that the other larger sleds are breaking through....the paksled will skim over the top.

Glad you figgured it out.. I will give you a little tip. I took a very dull knife(butter knife) and scored where the sled is supposed to bend(dont press too hard so as to go through the sled, but enough to help it bend in the areas it is supposed to.).. That seemed to work best for me.

Ok, I'll bite on this or ask the stupid question but what is a pack sled? I know what it does but not sure what one really looks like? Is it just a plastic sled that you pick up at FF or FM like an Otter Tub stile sled?? Or am I missing something? Sorry just not sure what one looks like or if some one has a picture.

Again stupid question but I'm sure I'm not the only one wonder what one looks like?

Yours is not a stupid question... The Pak Sled is a sled that Nature Vision makes. It is made of ultra light weight plastic and folds up into a tube when not being used to take up less space. So, you could fit a PakSled and a PakShak in the trunk of a car if needed. Go to Naturevisioninc.com and see the ice fishing products, I would be willing to bet they have a pict of a Pak Sled on their site.

I really like the Pak-Shack so far. seems very versitile and mobile! I should be able to get out at my lakecabin this weekend because it is on a small shallow lake in NW Wisconsin which should have enough ice by the weekend to walk out with one of these with my buddy. I hope we can get out! I gotta cure the itch...

Hang on to the cover of the pak shack. I was taking mine down to head home and the wind took mine away. It's kind of hard to store without it!

Haha sorry to hear mud dog, the bag is a nice thing to have with it or else when your bringing it back its just flapping in the wind the whole way... if you havent gotten a new bag you could try storing it in a garbage bag... just a thought.
