Spinning wing decoy ????

Recommended Posts

I am using two Mojo decoys this year in my spread. They didn't work very well in the early part of the season. Too many local birds who were wise to the ways... Now that the northern birds are coming through though, I've had much better luck.

The only things I don't like about the Mojo decoys I use are the following: Wings are very fragile and I'm afraid I will break one soon. The metal stake/pole they provide is barely long enough for the shore I hunt. One of mine is a little loud, the other is plenty quiet.

you shouldn't have to spin to win smile.gif

Ours is a baby mojo I think...have had it since 03, got it for $25 with a 1/2 off coupon. I avoid bringing it if I can but my bro usually wants it along. The thing is still going for some reason.

Some days they work, other days they don't. Not as effective as they once were, that is for sure.

I use a mojo also, and love it. Nice long battery life and super reliable. My lucky duk has been the biggest piece of dump since day #1.

I have found the spinners ineffective over water but they work wonders in the field...especially if you get several of them going.

If you hunt water deeper than about 18" plan on buying an extention pole, or just duct tape on an old broom handle.
