DRH1175
I need to run a trench to burry a gas line to my garage. I need to cross a electrical line to my well pump. What is the best way to locate it and how deep would it be?
BoxMN
Do yourself and your neighbors a favor and call Gopher State OneCall at:651-454-0002 800-252-1166 They will come out and locate anything for you. If this is something you put in yourself and it is not registered, hhhmmm, I am not sure what is best. But don't find it "by shovel"... ouch. Good luck,
Eric Wettschreck
If the line is homeowner installed most electrical contractors can locate it. It's not like calling Gopher State and you will have to pay. I don't remember how much I had to fork out a few years ago but it wasn't much. Nutty Fisherman
gopher state does not locate lines owned by the home owner, but if you talk nice they might locate it for you depending on the person.

DRH1175
I have had the main service located that is on the other side of the house. They told me they can only do the main to the house and none of the others. Yes I have and will always call them. Wonder the best way to get the 20 amp ciruit that runs to the well. chunkytrout
You'll just need to call en electrical contractor that has the equipment to locate. Most of us carry that in our trucks and it's not that big of a deal.
