harvey lee
Boy, talk about a race that really killed half the drivers for the chase. If they didnt have a ton of luck they were wrecked.

Sifty
On Speed they had a points total if it would have ended with the red flag for rain, Boy it sure looked different after the race finished. Sifty
LMITOUT
If NASCAR would have followed past practice, that race should have never restarted knowing they couldn't have finished before dark. Magnadoodle rule book again.
harvey lee
When they restarted that race and the crashes began, it totally killed me in the Yahoo points just like it killed some Chase contenders. Seems great for Johnson and Gordo and other chase contenders. Nascar only wanted them to get to the front.
Sifty
I don't belive I'm going to post this but,..... I have to agree with Jimmy Spencer and what he said on SPEED after the race.NASCAR is only to restart a race with the intention of getting the full race in. They changed that rule twice, first they said they would go to 225 and then a few minutes later they said they would go to 210.It looked like there where a 1/3 of the people still there after the rain (Jimmy said 20%).I like the fact that they tried to get the race in don't get me wrong, but it seemed a little fishy when everything they did was to the benifit of the chasers. Then there is a rain delay and then the 55 does'nt start on pit row, it is sitting there and they still open up pit row for the 20 and others to come and get gas?????Then at the end of the race the 16 is out of gas and is NOT under power to finish the race. Then you have the 07 and the 48 pass under caution????Then the race officals are surrounding the 16 like it is off limits??This race had it all.Sifty
Cyberfish
Well, I am glad they got it restarted, if they would have called it after the 2nd rain delay I would have had less that 100 points for the week!
harvey lee
Plain and simple, NASCAR blew this one when they decided to let it go until the chasers or who ever was left of the chaser were to the front. No other explanation. One might have thought that NASCAR had money riding on this race and had the fix in.

harvey lee
It was a different race yesterday. I have no idea what the rules were but they were different from the norm.
Harmonica Bear
I can't believe it restarted? I was pretty sure I had a butt-kicking week, only to find out this morning... Wow, was the end on TV? I completely missed out on fiasco!
polarsusd81
Harmonica, the reason you missed the end of it is because ABC decided it had better things to broadcast and sent the race over to ESPN2. Once again, I am left wishing to take out aggression on ABC.We have been told all our lives, second place is the first loser, but in this case, second place was the winner. What a shamefull excuse for a race.Tom
PierBridge
Sorry Grapes for sure.....and don't kid yourselve's on that one. Cancelling the race half way would be like calling a NFL PLAYOFF game at Halftime. GeeeeZ!
harvey lee
One thing for sure is that NASCAR will lose credibillity fast with the way they are chosing to do things. One cannot say Lets race and go to 225 and then later say wait, lets do 210. Looks to me like wait, lets see who is towards the front and gained their lost positions before the the pit stop and rain delay. A rained out race is complete after half way which they were. Its not wait and change it a couple times. Sour grapes, you betcha
PierBridge
I think your over analyzing here guys they went from 225 to 210 not because of your conspiracy theory but the remaining light and time available.... Guess we will have agree to disagree on this one...
PierBridge
If you guys could take the Anti-Hendrick blinders off for a second....I would like your thoughts on some of the legitimate arbitrary rules discretion Nascars used on Sunday like Tony Stewart Dropping the F Bomb on live TV and not being penalized along with not having the actual winner of the race crossing the FINISH line first. harvey lee
I agree that we will need to agree to disagree. What I was trying to say is that NASCAR was running by the seat of thier pants and not the rules on Sunday. If Tony said what you stated, then yes he should have to pay the price for it. I questioned Biffle winning the race but again, NASCAR chose to do it that way.I just dont understand why NASCAR races by the seat of their pants and isnt always following the same rules all the time.As far as I'm concerned they could just not count the race on Sunday as it qwas nothing but a mess.
