hardwaterfishing
I have been looking for a new shotgun. I currently have a 870 which is a nice gun, but I want a semi-auto. I am pretty much stuck between the winchester SX3 or the beretta AL tenky 391. Both seem like a pretty nice gun. Your info is much appreciated. Thanks... 96trigger
I don't know anything about an SX3, the SX2 has been a pretty solid firearm. I have a beretta, I'd take it over a SX2. Its a 390 not a 391. My brother had a 391, used it for a duck season and traded it in on a SX2. I don't know if you can go wrong with either. But the SX3 is pretty new, don't know any more about it. CodyDawg
I hunt with 9 guys who use Beretta's (myself included) and every one of them loves them. No problems, just fantastic results. I dont know anything about an SX3 and the fact that it is new means nobody else does either. I would go with the time proven 391.
TrophyEyes
Benelli anything. They are awesome and worth the money. I have an M1 and a Nova and love them. I would look at the M2 personally unless you are going to do a lot of goose shooting, you don't need the 3 1/2" shell capacity. Beretta's are a close second. But I have also heard good things about the SX3.
xedge2002
I would suggest benelli as well, I've had my super black eagle for 8 years and never had a problem. I also like the Beretta's too. My dad is looking at getting an auto and we looked at beretta's the other day, very nice looking and feeling gun.
bubs
pick one that fits your shoulder first. It could be the best gun out there but if it doesn't fit you will suffer untill you alter the stock to get the proper fit.or buy the gun you want the have it fitted to your shoulder if you want to pay more. I just looked ti'll I found one that fit right off the shelve so I didn't have to go through the hassel.
CodyDawg
Good point on gun fit. Also another reason to buy a Beretta as they come with different shims that let you make some mods without getting out the skillsaw! I think Benelli's come with those as well, but am not sure. gspman
If the Beretta AL 391 fits you (keep in mind the stock is also adjustable for cast and drop) then you'd be hard pressed to find a better gas gun than that.
Down2Earth
I would choose a Browning Gold. If you would like to shoot mine you sure can. We live close enough together.
hardwaterfishing
After doing a lot of asking around I decided to go with the SX3. It was 250 dollars cheaper than the 391. I went out shooting today and it is SWEET!!! It’s a hair lighter than my dads 390. I got the 3.5 inch and it ejects the light trap loads just fine. Cant wait till Saturday.
